The Office of Community 教育 offers two academic preparation programs – 数学领先 and Head Start on Writing. The workshops are aimed at preparing incoming college freshmen with skills to take on college-level courses.

数学领先

This program is for students who want to brush up on their math skills and learn about the college and its academic support resources. 数学领先 gives students the opportunity to work on basic math skills and get a “head start” on preparedness for Basic Math (MATH 095) and Elementary Algebra (MATH 099). 学生s will be more confident navigating the campus and understanding the learning resources we offer.

Head Start on Writing

A program for students who need to brush up on their writing skills and learn about campus resources. 学生s will have the opportunity to work with Writing and Research Center faculty on writing skills and get a “head start“ on being better prepared for 英语 Composition I.
